Sing O'Barren Woman

Welcome to my website.  My first book, "Sing O'Barren Woman", was released in February 2010.  This book is a devotional and book of encouragement for women whose wombs are barren.

It took me 23 years to come to terms with my barrenness, and this book has come out of the hurts and pains that I have endured.  It is my desire that those who read it will be blessed by it, and that it will encourage them to find a place of peace and solitude.

What Others Are Saying About Sing O'Barren Woman
Written by Marie Kirkendoll

This is a wonderful and powerful book.  The thing that I got from this book is that anyone can take whatever they are going through right now and use the premise of the book as a guide to make it through.  No it is not the same "condition" but the same "act" of making it through.

What is sensitive and challenging to one person might not be to another.  And we have to really be sensitive to everyone, but then sometimes we don't know what someone might be going through and we might say the wrong thing to them.

I think we need to also let others know, in a loving way, when they have said something that has offended or hurt us.  I have started doing that in some of my closest relationships now, and I will start doing that to others.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 (New International Version)
A Time for Everything
“There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under heaven:”

Let’s Think About It:

There are some states that have either warm or cold weather all year. They have no idea what it is like to experience different seasons. However, living in Tennessee, we have the pleasure of experiencing every season. Some of us like spring, while some would rather have summer. Others enjoy the fall or winter. Regardless of your preference, if you live in Tennessee, and you wait just a few months, (or sometimes a few days) the season is bound to change. So it is with our lives. What season do you feel that you are in right now? What season would you prefer to be in, why?
